HOLLY, Michigan - Yesterday was Delivery Day, when Santa’s helpers come to local children’s homes with gifts from the Jacobson/Quinn Toy Project.
On behalf of Holly Area Youth Assistance and its Jacobson/Quinn Toy Project Committee, we express our sincerest “thank you” to the Greater Davisburg and Holly Area Community for your fabulous teamwork, collaboration and volunteer efforts to bring gifts and happiness to local children this holiday season. School groups, youth organizations, businesses, civic groups, government offices, HAYA’s local sponsors, families, faith communities and individuals banded together in a BIG way to enlighten the spirit of Christmas within our community and in the hearts of children.
Holly Fire Chief Steve McGee l... Young, older and in-between - citizens of all ages – came together giving of their resources, time and talents to help local children and families in need. Families with children received wrapped gifts delivered to their doors from all of you allowing them to have a Very Merry Christmas. Not to mention the countless gifts of food baskets and care packages provided by individuals, families, faith communities, local groups and especially Davisburg Rotary Club and Holly Kiwanis Club.
Thank you to HAYA’s sponsors, donors of all types and sizes including monetary, goods and services, gift givers, giving trees and gift boxes' hosts, gift collectors, gift shoppers, gift wrapper, gift delivery people, the Holly Area Youth Assistance Board of Director and project committee organizers. It truly was a gift of service our community and a promotion of the positive image of the Hulet-Bravender VFW Post (Post 5587) and its members’ dedication within Holly to graciously allow HAYA to use the VFW Hall the entire week before Christmas! We definitely know that Santa’s color is red - like the fire trucks and other vehicles driven by the firefighters of Groveland Township Fire Department and North Oakland County Fire Authority (NOCFA).
You all truly carry the Spirit of Christmas, striving "to strengthen youth and families through community involvement." Holly's own spirits of Christmas past, Dick ("Jake") Jacobson and Doug Quinn are smiling down on all of you saying, "Thank you for helping our kids and for a job well done."
Have a Very Merry Christmas and a Healthy, Happy, and Safe New Year!
