Project Pride volunteers hope ...

HOLLY, Michigan – A slew of Holly’s Project Pride volunteers got down and dirty Saturday morning as they planted flat after flat of flowers from Ganshaw Park southward on Saginaw Street into historical downtown Holly.

Working on the popular red and white “H” located at Ganshaw Park, volunteers Jeannie Montooth, Raymond Rodgers, Josh Campbell and Jason Fulghum used approximately 52 flats of red and white gardenias to fill out the planter.

“Project Pride has been in existence since the early 1980s,” Montooth said. “We think it’s a great way to brighten up downtown Holly and take pride in our community.”

In addition to Ganshaw Park, flowers can be seen curbside along S. Saginaw Street and filling planters around trees into downtown Holly.

A very special thanks to all the volunteers that helped out with Project Pride and Holly Township Clean Up Day on June 2nd!

Look for more improvements as school is let out for the summer.

Thank you for beautifying our town. It would be nice if the residents would water the flowers. Also, how about having a contest for the home with the nicest landscape?
