HOLLY, Michigan – The week’s Homecoming festivities may have culminated in Friday night’s Broncho football victory over the Waverly Warriors of Lansing, but the 2011 Homecoming parade in downtown Holly was packed with spirit and hometown pride.

The Holly Bronchos marching band followed the parade’s HHS office administrator and Grand Marshal Kathy Kahn as they turned onto E. Maple Street toward the Karl Richter Campus.

Floats, cheerleaders, cars carrying HHS Homecoming Court members and other teams and organizations throughout the Holly Area Schools district made up the balance of the half-hour long parade.

While the senior class won total points for Spirit Week, the sophomore class won the float competition with their Spiderman-themed  float.  It was seniors Sam Caldwell and Megan Incammicia who were crowned as the 2011 HHS Homecoming King and Queen.

The Bronchos’ 37-25 victory over the Waverly Warriors of Lansing was the perfect ending to Friday’s celebration, boosting the Bronchos into the state playoffs for the second straight season.

From 8 – 11 p.m. Saturday night, Holly’s annual Homecoming dance will be held at Holly High School, 6161 E. Holly Rd., Holly.

Yes, the multi-talented Mrs. Mayhew is also an excellent photographer! It's great to see so many having so much fun this Homecoming season.
