DAVISBURG, Michigan – Two years ago, Lisa Bell Snodsmith, a Davisburg Elementary School teacher, wife, mother and dear friend to many lost a courageous battle with cancer. Having a preschool-aged son, she passed her love of literature onto her son, Kye, by routinely taking him to story hour at the Springfield Township Library.

In memory of her spirit and love for reading, Daviburg Elementary School is proud to establish the Lisa Bell Snodsmith Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship used to pay the fee for families that are not residents of Springfield Township, but would like to enjoy the library just as much as the Snodsmiths did.

Those wishing to make contributions to the scholarship fund are asked to send donations to the attention of Aimee Schwartz, Davisburg Elementary School, 12003 Davisburg Road, Davisburg, 48350. Donors are asked to write, “Lisa Bell Snodsmith Memorial Fund,” on the memo line of the check.
