Event to honor Coach Duane Raffin

HOLLY, Michigan – On Saturday, May 22, 2010, the Friends of Coach Raffin Reunion will celebreate the life of former Holly High School track and cross country coach, Duane Raffin.

Raffin died on March 29, 2010 after a valiant battle with cancer.

Friends of Coach Raffin is an online community forum of former athletes who have and continue to support the Coach Raffin Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Flint.

The event begins at 5 p.m. with hors ‘oevures and beverages in the Holly High School Commons, 6161 E. Holly Road, Holly.

At 6:45 p.m., a program will commence featuring former athlete speakers representing various classes including Tom Flanigan (’77), Bernie Little (’71), Bill Ballard (’77) Mark Zauel (’86), Rob Namowicz (’68), and Michael Raffin (’90).
