HOLLY TOWNSHIP, Michigan – Holly Township residents will have the chance to do a little spring cleaning in the days ahead as Holly Township will once again be sponsoring its annual Spring Clean-Up Day on Saturday, June 2.
Clean-Up Day is held two times per year and is aimed at helping to keep the entire Holly community clean and tidy. Republic Waste will be providing the containers and hauling services for next week’s event.
From 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., Holly Township residents can bring refuse, recyclables, large items and non-Freon appliances to dumpsters located at the North Oakland County Fire Authority Station 1, 5051 Grange Hall Road.
Residents taking advantage of the program will be asked to verify residency prior to unloading. Yard waste, dirt, construction materials, wood, oil-based paint, solvents and hazardous materials will not be accepted. Properly dried water-based paint will be accepted, and there will be a minimal fee for the disposal of tires.
“Our back roads are looking good for the spring season,” Supervisor Jesse Lambert said. “As long as Holly can maintain a respectable level of cleanliness, littering and dumping won’t become an epidemic.”
For more information on Clean-Up Day, visit the township offices during normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or contact the office via telephone at (248) 634-9331.

I know Best Buy has a decent program but lugging the stuff to a store can be a pain.
Something to consider...
