HOLLY, Michigan – In a press release dated July 29, the Holly Police Department reported the attempted abduction of a young woman as she walked around the rear of a building along the 500 block of N. Saginaw Street shortly before 4 p.m. on July 28.
According to the report, the victim was grabbed by an unidentified man. The assailant pulled the victim backward, groping her breasts as he attempted to drag her into a vacant building. The victim struggled and was eventually able to free herself from his grasp, and run away. The victim reports that the suspect got onto a bicycle and rode away in a northeastern direction.
The suspect is described as a white male, 20-28 years old, 6 to 6-feet 2-inches tall, 125 pounds, skinny, with a round face and light colored eyebrows. The subject was wearing a black tank top with dark blue or black-colored jeans.
HPD reports a significant delay in the victim reporting the crime, and reminds residents of the importance of notifying the police department in a timely fashion. Notifying the police at the time of the incident greatly increases the chances for the department to apprehend the suspect.
Those having information on the possible whereabouts or identification of the suspect are asked to contact Detective Jose Garcia of the Holly Police Department at (248) 634-8221.
