HOLLY, Michigan – It couldn’t have been a more perfect ending to a long holiday weekend as thousands of people turned out to enjoy the village of Holly’s annual Fourth of July fireworks display on Monday evening.

Fireworks lighted up the nighttime sky over Bush Lake for nearly 30 minutes before ending in a firework finale that will resonate in the minds of onlookers for years to come.

The Holly Police Department reported no incidents during the firework display, and estimates that over 4,000 people attended the event.

What a wonderful night! I enjoyed the fireworks with my grandsons. Everyone looked like they had a great time while watching a fantastic show. Thanks to the people parking us at Lakeside and to the police officers who helped everyone arrive home safely. Holly is a great place!

A lot of positive comments have been received regarding the show. Thank you to all the sponsors; I would like to especially thank the DDA who is made up of the local businesses in the district for the extra support that helped make this such a great show!

What can we do to get these people back in town for Patriot Week? Events like this would be a great place to get people to sign up for electronic newsletters.
