HOLLY, Michigan – Downtown Development Authority Director Hope Ponsart is crossing her fingers for good weather this weekend, as more than 30 Holly businesses prepare to take part in the annual Fall 2011 Ladies’ Night Out event to be held from  5 – 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 in downtown Holly.

The first 300 ladies holding onto an official LNO postcard can grab a free Ladies’ Night Out gift bag, stuffed with goodies, coupons and more from participating businesses.

Ponsart said Beth Shattuck will once again be on-hand, serving as the LNO emcee for the evening, and keeping the  events and music going as LNO visitors wander the shops and restaurants. Ponsart said Shattuck will announce the evenings’ lucky raffle winners at 8:30 p.m. “We decided to do all the raffle prizes at once,” Ponsart said. “Ladies need not be present to win.”

In addition to phenomenal downtown shopping, dining choices for LNO participants are endless with the Bittersweet Café, the Blackberry Bakery, the BlackThorn Pub, the Broadstreet Pub and Grub, Fire and Ice Café, the Holly Hotel, the Red Devil Restaurant and Zanie Janie’s Coffee all open for business, running specials, and many offering live entertainment.

Notable men of Holly donning handsome tuxedos will be waiting on the hungry LNO customers of the Bittersweet Café. All tips garnered by the volunteer wait staff will go to support the 2011 Holly Dickens Festival, Bittersweet Café owner Dee Van Boemel said.

Additionally, the Great Lakes Market Place is officially open for business, with more than 20 suppliers providing free samples of the many Michigan-made products carried by the store.  Additionally, Owner John La Croix said staff members will be doling out $10 coupons whereby LNO visitors can receive $10 off any $40 purchase at either the Great Lakes Market Place, or the Great Lakes Artisan Village.

Visitors to My Sweet Holly, 101 S. Saginaw will enjoy the sounds of Sinatra as crooner Tom Mazzaro provides the background music by which to shop. Owner Cathy Bateman said her staff will be dressed in vintage 1960s cocktail attire, and will be providing light refreshments to shoppers.

Northward on the block, Elements Day Spa will provide free mini neck and shoulder massages and a free lavender paraffin hand dip to LNO visitors choosing to stop by.

Studio 215 Owner Jamie Ross said LNO participants will have the chance to jump into a Zumba class to see what the newest rage in physical fitness is all about.

On Battle Alley, Owner Holly Jablonski said the Holly Candle Shoppe will offer 10 percent off all candles and fragrances, while Creative Fashions across the way will offer 25 percent discounts on all clothing sales.

Joining the downtown businesses this fall will be north end businesses, Premiere Medical and Rehabilitation Group, Well Adjusted Chiropractic and Massage and McKay’s Hardware.
Marketing coordinator, Jessica Teague said PMRG and Well Adjusted Chiropractic and Massage will be standing by the Village Offices, doling out free giveaways and coupons to LNO participants.

McKay’s Hardware will be erecting a tent in front of the Holly Township Offices, and will be selling a new product this year – unisex Milwaukee 12-volt cordless heated jackets.
The jackets come in camouflage or red, and may be the perfect place where “deer widows” can purchase the ultimate Christmas gift for that special outdoors person.

“This LNO is really looking like it’s going to be better than ever,” Ponsart said. “Ladies better get here early, because downtown Holly is really going to the place to be!”

All the merchants are going the extra mile for this one! Please invite your friends and family from neighboring towns to join you and show them how vibrant Holly has become!
