Cruise to Battle Alley organiz... HOLLY, Michigan - Many hit the streets on Wednesday evenings for downtown Holly's weekly Cruise to Battle Alley, checking out the classic cars displayed along South Saginaw Street, enjoying the warmer weather and visiting many of the new shops that have recently opened their doors in historic downtown Holly.
It's free to stop by and see the classic cars, with proceeds going to the Clarkston Area Lions Club, said Holly resident Bob Allsop, who organizes Cruise to Battle Alley with friend, Lobo Bozarth.
For the organizers, it's a familiar crowd at the show.
"I grew up with a lot of these guys," Allsop said.

Don Simons has been active in ... HOLLY TOWNSHIP, Michigan – Holly Township resident Don Simons has spent nearly a half century digging up Holly’s rich, historical past, and next week, he’ll share some of his findings with anybody who wants to know more.
Simons will be showing photographs and presenting artifacts found in several area digs, including an outhouse excavation that was made on the northern border of Holly Township in 2010.
Simons, 72, first began working on archaeological digs in 1965, and since that time, has worked on countless projects in the greater Holly area, and all over the state of Michigan. Simons is a former President of the Michigan Archaeological Society, and currently serves as one of its trustees.
